- Penguin- main thing we get with upgrade is ability to passively invest the reserve pool
  - Drawback right now- might not have smart pools
  - Not a feasible upgrade if we want to add tokens or adjust fees
DefileZebra asked Penguin: When MoonDao?
- Team has been recharging after hackathon
- Misanth: How scalable is the protocol?
  - Bring it all the way to badger and have badger put it on their platform
- Penguin that’s the first level, rather than forking it and making it our own. Figured out a way to leverage money and make money with it. Next step would be to implement it by taking the project from hackathon to staging/production.
- What they did was used a local blockchain spun up with Brownie for testing. Allows you to deposit BTC, (badger bounty) and takes BTC deposited uses it on AAVE and takes a loan to leverage the money usually 3x but could go 10-11 and be healthyish.
  - Generates supply income off the balance that was deposited.
  - Then takes and AAVE token generated interest and sells it to buy wrapped BTC to pay back the loan to support withdraw.
  - Policy itself readjusts.
  - Gets pricefeed from Chainlink Oracle.
  - You put money in and it grows -> Money leverages itself to make more money.
  - Use case for metagame would be that ideally, we would be able to get some of our pool excess from Balancer v2 to generate additional wEth and then buy our LP token with the wETH.
  - Use 20% of profits to buy LP tokens and lock them
  - Then uses additional 10% to select random DAO to buy
  - Ideally use the liquidity in balancer pool to generate income
  - Which pool? Penguin seems to think Badger is the spot
Mint updates
- During the process Alec and Michiel are now able to build the XP calculation.
- Penguin was able to generate the merkle root.
- Current centralized choke-point is the deployment to the UI.
  - Ran XP and created merkle root and able to get it updated
  - On most recent mint we still needed MetaDreamer to handle the Fleek deployment
- Alec, Misanth, Michiel worked together for 4+ hours last week to help realize mint
- Seed calculation that was minted from Aragon was 130 seeds more than the calculation
  - Unaccounted for in the multi-sig?

- How you got to metagame?
  - Bacon
    - Following crypto space and was excited for Ethereum. Wanted to get involved and found Raidguild, but didn’t have coding skills. Found link to metagame through newsletter. Was short .03 pseed for patron role and both Luxumbra and Peth offered as much as a gift. Bacon was impressed by the fact that multiple people were willing to back what was written in the documentation and were willing to gift it.
  - Chair
    - In the desert in Joshua Tree in 2016 at an impromptu rave. Arsenie from graph protocol told him about Ethereum. Started following Peterpan and Metacartel. Moved to Boston in 2018 and decided that he only wanted to work in software. Became a support engineer in Healthcare industry. On M arch 31 quit job, and same day spoke at MetaFest about Proof of onboarding (POO). Met penguin in LSDAO.
  - Penguin
    - When penguin started in web3 was running a text based game like D&D or Wow but no graphics (Waterdeep). Sebastian and Ronin reached out for help testing Ethernal and penguin gave feedback. Entire game was done with NFTs. Ronin shared the NFT bible. Initial reaction was that if truly interoperable, there is no way to stop cheaters. Over many discussions helped reframe ownership. Found Metagame, Metacartel and Raidguild and read some initial posts. Very different than regular job as a software developer. Thought this was better than selling sports tickets through APIs. Covid hit and decided to DAO fulltime while developing. Metagame is the church of web3 for penguin.

    - Played avagotchi and found voice, then met Musashi and became friends. Invited to Metagame and Metacartel. In the airport with extra time today and joined onboarding call. Has an idea with Musashi that he wants to write up.
Throne takes the floor to present Tarot: What it is, what it means to him
- Chair will tell why he is doing presentation on Tarot cards
  - Chair was explaining NFTs and Compared them to Tarot cards and Throne was hooked.
- History of Tarot and what its used for.
  - 1400s Italy or France was first use.
  - 1800s was recorded that Tarot came from Egypt, but there is no hard evidence of where it came from.
  - Purpose was to communicate with subconsciousness and make decisions and plan life.
  - Then was used for commercial purpose and witchcraft and to tell the future.
  - Throne utilizes Tarot for self-exploration.
  - All religions of the world were trying to destroy tarot, would burn cards and owner!
- Throne has at least 15 different decks.
- Specific cards:
  - The fool/card #0. Dog and song, all the little details have meanings. Messages for the subconscious mind. Everyone has a card they associate with, and it can change over time. Can be first card, last card or in between, represents youthful energy. Reason called the fool is because is new in this space, lots to learn but lots of energy. It multiplies powers of whatever card its next to.
    - There is art and can be regional.
    - shows us various deck’s version of the fool/card #0
  - Magician
    - Represents has all 4 elements on the table (air, water, fire, earth) has abilities and powers to create.
    - Shows several examples of magician
  - Death card
    - End of something and rebirth. Not a bad card, mostly a positive card depending on where it lands in the reading
  - The Devil
    - Everyone is afraid but it’s not a bad card. Represents ego or addictions. Negative influences from within. Lives in all of us.

- Different decks feature different art
- A person can do a reading without being a scholar just by interpreting the art
- Tarot is kind of game with self or can be like a psychology session
  - Makes a path of possibilities and can help answer questions
- Throne has a Card of the day with breakfast
  - What you want to explore that day
  - A tool to communicate with self
- Tarot has been misused by people trying to profit
- Gnomeski: has some history and a 30 year old deck.
  - Found it to be very useful as a tool to see things on the periphery. Doing a reading can broaden the mind to possibilities.
  - Tune into part of self or energy and focusing on a single card, meditating on it, and trying to feel it and fuse with it.
- Chair has a question for Throne:
  - What if we made new combinations and maybe having more than just 78 cards?
    - Tarot card creator needs to understand symbology and would not make sense to make new card combos
    - card 36 and card 17 symbols wouldn’t go together
  - The Tower for example- not a great card, symbolizes expectations not met or breakage of something
    - What about 3d art for the tower? Music attached maybe?
    - this would be cool
  - Symbology needs to be close but can make it unique
  - Penguin: Do a daily draw and then if you like the reading then mint it?
  - Gnomeski: spread creates a virtual 3d reading

NFT workflow understanding what happened with MCON. Deadline was too late, should have been 10th. Tenfinney - saying the artist did not have enough heads up. Is apologetic for his part. It was very last minute. Minting related issues were discussed and actions required by multi-sig. General round of what is happening esp regarding help needed.

What I did last week: Same page as FT for ETHonline. Calculate distro for SC is needed now… Missing first parts of process. Need to get seed minting script down better with merkle, json related processes…

penguin excel sheet is handmade, last mint after mint MD had to update it and he said totals mismatched, so he had to take over. Tutorial on it is not there for grain calculation. Calculated excel sheet from yarn grain, made into json then spreadsheet. Michiel did similar and had an error. Observable script issues. Michiel will connect with Tina from SC to go over it. Once figure out make a tight tutorial on whole process. Focusing on minting process, will connect to penguin… Penguin saying have another XP fairy meeting? Find a good time for that.

Gnomeski - MD needs to download better.

TF - Concerned about a chaos/vacuum where main admins were.

Step 1: Survey the field
- Collect present data on experience, pay hours, work life balance, values and advancement

    - Gitcoin has collected a lot of data, but didn’t sex de-segrate the data
      - Did men and women report having different values?
- Partnering with Diamond DAO…. first step was to look at existing data and then will conduct their own survey
Step 2: truth seeking research
- Differences between M&W values and experience
- Does the unpaid transition to web3 impact women more than men?
  - Time scarcity from caring for others
  - Less wealth to start with so less of a buffer to jump into uncertainty
- Yes, data is on chain- but doesn’t show details of work life balance and doesn’t really show what people are actually making for their time away from their passions
  - Lack of standardized pay means that inequity could actually increase
  - May be able to see some numbers on public ledger but can’t see the picture
Abundance and rewards
- Jovian asks: how do you get women to accept the risks and step into abundant mindset?
  - How do we expect women to trust that they will be reimbursed in this paradigm shift?
  - For women that transition to trust and abundance may be tougher because of unpaid hours to care for others
  - If men’s identity is more in their work and women’s Identity and more in the family
    - Then she is borrowing time from serving her family to work, feels pressure to compress her work time because investment in family life
    - Challenge us to “think across the divide”
      - Men: you could have the freedom to work 2 hours and have more time for the family
      - Women are likely to fear that those 2 hours may not amount to much
- Anonymity-
  - A closer look at open-source work environments point to making gender bias worse
- Penguin- sadbirdsclub would often prefer to spend her time with the family than putting in a few hours on web3 work bc she feels like it might not be of value
- J: you have to experience the new way of work to trust it, but such a high barrier and concern/reservations
  - Having an “agent” is a huge win and a huge strategy (like Penguin serving for Sadbirdsclub- who makes dope stickers, in case you are new here)
