What I want to achieve over the next Season (3 months)

My bridgebuilding & growth efforts for this season will mostly focus on people & projects for MetaFest as well as fundraising for MetaFest.

This is mostly because Iā€™m not sure I can properly do MetaGameā€™s fundraise while doing one & other stuff for MetaFest - but also because we havenā€™t done everything that I think is needed to do a proper fundraise (eg. getting rid of the loading thing, playbooks UI etc.)

Moonstone #1 - (first-month milestone)

  • Fundraising for MetaFest
  • Inviting more people & communities to MetaFest
  • Figuring out legal stuff for MetaGame
  • Improvements to the deck & paper based on feedback

Moonstone #2 - (second-month milestone)

  • Mostly depends on how MetaFest goes, but if MetaFest stuff is taken care of, I will focus all of month #2 on fundraising for MetaGame.

Moonstone #3 - (third-month milestone)

  • Same here

My championing is a success ifā€¦

  • The above moonstones delivered
  • Metric #1: the increase in the number of patrons by X
  • Metric #2: the increase in the number of daily active users by X

Why this is important for MetaGame

We need stronger bridges & we need MetaFest to go right even if it means postponing MetaGameā€™s fundraise. In the past, these events always took MetaGameā€™s activity to another level & this one should do so even more dramatically as it will be the best & biggest so far.

Why am I the right person for it

Well maybe Iā€™m not but I donā€™t see anyone else stepping up :smiling_face_with_tear:

I think Iā€™m the right person for bridgebuilding because I know a lot of DAOs and a lot of people from a lot of DAOs but tbh I hate fundraising & Iā€™m not a good sales person.

How might I fail at it

I fail at properly explaining the value proposition of MetaGame, donā€™t manage to get people to believe in our or our tokenā€™s success & again only raise like $200k.

What Iā€™ll need help with

Somebody to help on the shilling side to promote the fundraise with me. Would also greatly appreciate some help with outreach when the time comes as it seems fundraising is a numbers game.

Other than that, could really use some help on the bridgebuilding side, following up with all the guilds weā€™ve onboarded & asking them questions.

What I hope to get out of it

Hope to learn how to properly do a fundraise this time around. Already learned a lot last time but this time should be good.

Donā€™t have a range of expected pay but I do plan on proposing for more if it goes down the same way as last time when I raised $250k, burned out & got like $1k, less than the MetaFest 2 landing page :smiling_face_with_tear:
